I have replaced my iPhone once after the battery died after being on for 5 hours, of which 1 hour was active talk time. Second phone lasted 8 hours with 2 hours of active talk time. If it can't make it through the day not much use.
I'm with you, I can watch my battery go from 20% to 15% in less than 5min. Useless.
I have jail broken iPhone. The battery typically goes down during mid day or so. I have about ten calls i.e. close to 1 hour of talk time. I leave the wifi on and check mail ( manual ) about half a dozen times. It is frustrating to have such poor battery life. I now view the screen with 30% brightness and am considering switching of the wifi. Whats the fun having all the features when you are half scared at the back of your mind that the battery will die
